Finding a college that is a good fit for a student requires a lot of research and planning, and students often don't know which direction to go. CollegeLine Consulting guides you through the college planning and application process to help you find a college and a field of study that is right for you.
Students and families come to CollegeLine Consulting at different stages of the college planning process. During an initial free 30-minute session, I meet with the student and parents to learn where they are in the process. Then, we discuss the areas with which you need assistance and the services that I can provide to meet your needs.
CollegeLine Consulting works with students in their freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school. The level and amount of my involvement in the college planning process is tailored to the student's and family's needs. You may choose a five-hour, ten-hour, or comprehensive package, or you may purchase services at an hourly rate.
Students and families may want to learn about college planning in a group session. Together, we can discuss options to select a topic or two and set up a date and time.
I am passionate about guiding students through the college planning process. I have helped students select high school courses, discover well-suited majors and careers, research colleges and programs, determine which colleges to consider, and complete college applications. I have also helped students with unique situations, including homeschooling, transferring colleges, attending college with learning differences and mental health concerns, and dealing with food allergies/intolerances at college.
I completed the UCLA Certificate in College Counseling with distinction, and I have a Master of Arts in Psychology. To better serve my students, I am a member of three professional organizations, and I attend a variety of webinars to keep up to date on changes to the application process. I also attend college information sessions to learn about the many colleges available to students.
I reside in Maryland with my husband and two college-age children, who I homeschooled through high school. As a family, we enjoy playing games, watching movies, and traveling. During my alone time, I enjoy reading, yoga, and completing jigsaw puzzles.
